MUMB Families

The Miami University Marching Band values the support provided by the families of our members. This page contains resources that provide ways for families of the MUMB students to stay involved.

If you have any questions about the resources on this page, ask your MUMB member or contact the MUMB staff.

Purchasing Football Tickets

The Ticket Office has created a code for Band Families to be able to purchase football tickets for a reduced cost for the season or for individual games. This code also allows you to pick from different price points based on section location in the stadium. Currently, sections 5 and 6 are available to Band Families at this special price to keep them across from the band section.

If you have any questions, please reach out to the ticket office; the email address is RedHawkTix@miamioh.edu and the phone number is (513) 529-4295.

Note from Ticketing – “Season tickets will still be best executed by calling in so we can help them find better seats. We have protected holds for late season ticket sales that are not available online.”

MUMB on Social Media

The Miami University Marching Band has a public Facebook page and Instagram account as well as other, independent pages on Facebook that can help you stay informed and engaged with the events we participate in.

MUMB Communication with Families

We are incredibly proud of our student-musicians and deeply grateful for the amazing support of our MUMB families and community. As part of our commitment to our students’ growth and privacy, we want to share a quick reminder about how we handle student records and communication.

In compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)—a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records—our directors and staff follow specific guidelines regarding what information we can share.

To respect our students’ privacy and stay aligned with federal and university regulations, the band staff cannot share specific details about an individual student’s band activities with third parties, including parents, guardians, spouses, or family members.

This policy applies to day-to-day details such as:

  • Schedules and attendance
  • Roster and membership status
  • Trip and event logistics
  • Individual participation details

Ultimately, these guidelines ensure we remain in full compliance with federal FERPA regulations, protecting our students’ privacy while naturally supporting them as they develop independence and responsibility.
