Pep Band

The Miami University Pep Band performs at all home Men’s and Women’s Basketball games, Men’s Ice Hockey games, and select Women’s Volleyball matches while classes are in session in the fall and spring semesters. Rehearsals are Mondays evenings, 8:00-9:00 PM in 007 Presser Hall.

Pep Band is open to all university students regardless of major and no audition is required to enroll.

Students must register for MUS 100U (Course Name: Basketball/Hockey Band) for 1 or 2 credit hours. MUS100U can be repeated.

Pep Band is open to students who perform on the following instruments:

• Flute/Piccolo
• B-flat Clarinet
• Alto Saxophone
• Tenor Saxophone*
• Trumpet
• Mellophone*
• Trombone
• Baritone*
• Tuba/Sousaphone*
• Drum Set*

*University instruments are available for a $75 rental fee.*

Post-season travel is a possibility for spring semester members. The Mid-American Conference Basketball Tournament is March 11-14, 2026 and the National Collegiate Hockey Conference Tournament begins March 6-8, 2026.
