The MUMB is proud to welcome back to Millett Hall the opening rounds of the 2015 WGI Percussion World Championships in the Independent A, Independent Open, and Scholastic Open classes. MUMB Director, Stephen Lytle, shares, “We’re happy to be a part of this event and support WGI as partners in promoting the performing arts in our schools as well as saluting all the performers who will visit our campus over these two days.”
“We are lucky to have some great support from several volunteers from the Music Department” said WGI Operations Director Bart Woodley. “Last year the competing ensembles felt welcomed into the MU community with the help of the friendly staff of volunteers. We look forward to hosting at Miami University many years to come!”
The two-day preliminary round events begin Thursday, April 9th at Millett Hall and is open to the public. Tickets may be purchased at the door. For further information, please visit www.wgi.org
