Audition Information

Winds, Percussion, and Color Guard

For the 2025 season, all new and returning members are required to submit an audition video for evaluation. Performers should download the appropriate music for their instrument (below), and record a video of their performance. While your video may include different clips or takes for each of the items you are asked to record, you should only submit one video and link with all of the audition materials included. Audition videos with materials from previous seasons WILL NOT be accepted.

Please make sure your recording device is set-up in Landscape (not Portrait), and that in the frame we can see you, your entire instrument, and your hands while you are playing. For Wind Players, do not face directly at the recording device, but rather at an angle so we can see all that we need to in the frame. DO NOT record audio and video separately and try to sync the two. Any new or returning members who do will be asked to re-record and re-submit.

Please think about where you record, and make sure the lighting and background are appropriate, as well as how you present yourself by your appearance and posture.

Make sure at the beginning of your video you introduce yourself by stating your first and last name, your instrument, major, and year in school.

Please provide an Unlisted YouTube video link (not Google, Dropbox, or a YouTube Short) by completing and submitting the form linked below.  Please make sure your permissions are set so the MUMB Staff can view your video by clicking on the provided link, and not needing to request your permission.
