This page contains resources that provide ways for families of the MUMB students to stay involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have any questions about the resources on this page, ask your MUMB member or <a href=\"mailto:mumb@miamioh.edu\">contact the MUMB staff<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Purchasing Football Tickets<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ticket Office has created a code for Band Families to be able to purchase football tickets for a reduced cost for the season or for individual games. This code also allows you to pick from different price points based on section location in the stadium. As part of our commitment to our students&#8217; growth and privacy, we want to share a quick reminder about how we handle student records and communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)\u2014a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records\u2014our directors and staff follow specific guidelines regarding what information we can share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To respect our students&#8217; privacy and stay aligned with federal and university regulations, the band staff cannot share specific details about an individual student\u2019s band activities with third parties, including parents, guardians, spouses, or family members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This policy applies to day-to-day details such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Schedules and attendance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Roster and membership status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trip and event logistics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Individual participation details<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ultimately, these guidelines ensure we remain in full compliance with federal FERPA regulations, protecting our students&#8217; privacy while naturally supporting them as they develop independence and responsibility.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MUMB Families The Miami University Marching Band values the support provided by the families of our members.
